When Kathleen McGivney tapped me to write articles for the newest evolution of RedBar, I was flattered; when she told me she’d let me “get away” with more, I’ll admit…the horns started poking out of my forehead a bit. (Ed. note: perhaps I have created a monster.)

So, I thought I’d go bold right out of the gate and make some claims I’m not at all qualified to make, beyond being a watch enthusiast who has had a more intimate view of the inner workings of the micro/independent side of the industry for the last few years. Please take all of this with a grain of salt and a sprinkling of chaos.
