Breakfast with Baume et Mercier, industry panels and whiskey with Analog Shift.
Attendees arrived bright and early at the General Society Library for breakfast sponsored by Baume et Mercier, with a special look at their current collection, including the Clifton Baumatic with its beautiful gradient blue dial.
After breakfast, we had two panel discussions:
The Collectors Panel: A Deep Dive into the Meaning, Methods, and Motivations Behind Watch Collecting with David Sharp, RedBar London; Kathleen McGivney, RedBar NYC; Gary Getz, Quill & Pad; and Vasu Kulkarni, RedBar NYC. Moderated by Blake Buettner, StockX. Watch on YouTube here.
The State of The Watch Industry: an Insider Look at the Present and an In-depth Conversation on What’s to Come with VJ Geronimo, Oris; Fred Martel, Baume et Mercier; Hyla Bauer, Luxury Watch Expert; and Blake Malin, Worn & Wound. Moderated by Adam Craniotes, RedBar & Revolution. Watch on YouTube here.
In the afternoon, attendees were treated to whiskey tastings courtesy of Glenfiddich, hosted by Analog Shift, while they got hands-on with Analog Shift’s vintage watch collections.
We’ll cover the rest of Saturday in our next two installments.
